The Light announced is the Javelin:

Art looks good. Not a big fan of the head, but that might be just the perspective.

The packs are 5 bucks cheaper as well. 15 bucks instead of the standard 20 (Urbanmech is still 20 bucks). So that's something, i guess?

Thoughts?

Ooof. Humanoid 30 tonner. That's gonna be hard to make work. Still, a deal's a deal. Guess I gotta pony up the cash to buy at least the standard pack.

(I will say though, I quite like how it looks visually, and really like the Special variant. Not sure about the hero though.)

Yeah.
That's like... The most 80s thing ever.

On another note, pre-order now, to get the closest thing to hot pink you'll ever have in MW:O.

If it wasn't for the 11A I'd say the best variants were all in the base package.

Not interested! PGI won't be seeing my wallet for the next couple of months since there is no February mech announcement. :P

I do really like the idea of a IS srm cheetah. But the question remains...

How many lrm 20's can I fit on this thing?

A shame it's not the Raptor, but besides that, it's probably the best light the IS could have gotten. The Inner Sphere now has a non-paywalled zoom and boom SRM light.

I like the art, though I wish it's head was a bit goofier. It's goofy, for sure, but not as goofy as the original.

EDIT: On the plus side, if it was the Raptor, I was going to buy it for people. So, that's the second self-Mech Pack based bet I've won out on.

Great art, the only problem is that because jump jets in this game are still so floaty, such a slow light mech is not going to shine very brightly compared to its faster brethren.

Same maximum engine rating as the Spiders (255 and 285, depending on the variant).

Though it won't be able to compete with the Cheetah (at this point, I doubt PGI will release anything to rival the Cheetah), it looks like it'll be able to hold it's own, though the three best variants are paywall'd.

Unless PGI reworks IS XL's, the Javelin is going to be torn apart quick like any other IS Light with an XL, however.

I'm gonna pass on this one. Look forward to buying it for C-bills though. Probably a fun mech. Just not worth all the money they're asking for.

I'm happy that we at least got a decent Light. Dammit, now I have to buy it. Ah well, at least now I'll be able to stomp into battle in a hot pink Atlas.

I actually think it's nice that they lowered it by $5 compared to usual packs. Definitely helps my poor wallet right now.

I like the look of it!

Wasn't initially excited about the prospect--only one non-hero has arm-mounted hardpoints--but I'm kind of liking it the more I look at it.

Will definitely get the base pack, possibly go for the Ultimate Pack simply to incentivize more light-mech creation.

Will play very similar to an oxide. The early adopter stuff is interesting as well.

It's a step in the right direction. If it was 2013, I wouldn't object so much. But I've sunk hundreds of dollars into this game.

I kept looking at the cockpit and thinking "That reminds me of something... What is it?" It just clicked for me. Alex's model of it here makes me think of the Annihilator's head. Scale that up by like, 6x, and add a giraffe neck, and you've got an Annihilator cockpit.
